Yolanda Marin was born in Valencia where she completed her higher education in singing with soprano Gloria Fabuel in Higher Conservatory of Music Joaquin Rodrigo.

Parallel to that she attended improvement courses given by Ileana Cotrubas, Francisco Kraus, Gloria Fabuel, Dalton Baldwin, Ernesto Palacio, Raina Kabaivanska, Wolfram Rieger, Ana María Sánchez, Enedina Lloris y Monserrat Caballé.

She has performed a wide range of recitals and concerts as a soloist throughout Spain in places like Palace of the Music in Valencia , Auditorium of Castellón and Múrcia, the main Theatre of Alicante, Theatre of Ronda, Auditorium of Madrid, etc, as well as in Denmark – in Kulturcenter Limfjord with “Det Jyske Ensemble” and with Vicente David Martín at the piano.

In the symphonic- chamber repertoir she has performed as a soloist in Haendel’s “The Messiah”, J. S. Bach’s “ Cantata 147? and “ The Coffee Cantata”, W . A . Mozart ‘s “Mass in G Major “ and “ Mass in A Major ” (“Coronation Mass”) and J. Haydn’s “ Missa brevis St. Joannis de Deo” , as well as Grieg’s “Peer Gynt” *Solveig .

She played the role of Adela in the operetta “ Clar com L´Aigua “ composed by Salvador Giner and Marola which belongs to the operetta “The Tavern in the Port” (La Tabernera del Puerto) of P. Sorozábal in the main Theatre of Torrevieja (2007).

In 2004 she took part in a series of concerts with the Instrumental Ensemble of the Higher Conservatory of Castellon and Bambalina Titelles, playing the part of Trujamán in “Retablo de Maese Pedro” of composer Manuel de Falla, and in 2005 she repeated the role with the Orchestra of the Valencia Chamber in the Alicante Main Theatre.

She also took part in several concerts of “The Phantom of the Opera” in Lleida, Tarragona and Valencia.

In opera she had her debut as the First Lady in “The Magic Flute ” in the Palace of teh Music in Valencia, followed by Despina of “Cosí Fan Tutte ”, Blonde of “The Kidnapping in Serrallo ”, Susanna of “The Marriage of Fígaro ” (all of those works of W. A. Mozart), Clorinda of “La Cenerentola” by Rossini and recently Frasquita of “Carmen “ by Bizet under stage direction of Calixto Bieito.

She has participated as a soloist with the “Ensemble Fontegara” orchestra, conducted by Raúl Mallavibarrena, bringing to life the works of Monteverdi in the Ronda Theatre.

In 2002 she was a finalist of the International Contest of Joaquin Rodrigo in Madrid, and in 2003 a finalist in the Contest of Musical Youth of Spain in Bilbao.

In 2005 she won the Contest of Mirna Lacambra in Sabadell with her character of Susanna, as a part of her progress to the 9th year of professional studies dedicated to the opera “Le Nozze di Figaro”, working in the theatres of Sabadell, Badalona and Terrasa.

In 2005 she received a study grant from Ibercaja Monserrat Caballé-Bernabé Martí in Zaragoza.

In November 2005 she won the 1st prize in the International Contest of Performance City of Valencia, in 2007 the 1st prize in the International Contest of Operetta of San Miguel de las Salinas in Alicante, in July 2007 2nd prize in the International Singing Contest Mirabent and Magrans in Sitges and in October 2007 the 3rd prize in the 5th International Singing Contest of Pedro Lavirgen in Priego de Córdoba.

In 2008 she won the 4th prize in the singing Contest of Callosa d’en Sarrià.

In November 2008 she had the lead role in “Las Mujeres de Puccini” working alongside Ana María Sánchez and Elisabete Matos in the Murcia Auditorium and Theatre Castelar of Elda.

She has recently had her debut in the Theatre of Operetta with the antology “The Night of Operetta” under the stage direction of Luis Olmos and musical direction of A. Diemecke and Cristóbal Soler
