Soprano Yolanda Marín was born in Valencia (Spain), where she finished her Singing training with soprano Gloria Fabuel in Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo. She has attended masterclasses by Ileana Cotrubas, Francisco Kraus, Dalton Baldwin, Ernesto Palacio, Raina Kabaivanska, Wolfram Rieger, Ana María Sánchez, Enedina Lloris and Montserrat Caballé. She has been awarded several prizes in national and international Singing Competitions.
Yolanda has already appeared in many Opera productions, singing roles as Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Erste Dame (Die Zauberflöte) and Despina (Cosí fan tutte), by Mozart; Clorinda (La Cenerentola) and Elvira (L’italiana in Algeri) by Rossini and Franquita (Carmen) by Bizet. She has performed regularly Spanish Zarzuela, singing roles as Marola (La Tabernera del Puerto), by Sorozábal. She has also been the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Bach Cantatas BWV 147 and BWV 211 (Coffee Cantata) and Mozart’s Requiem.
She has performed in the most important theatres and concert halls in Spain, collaborating with renowned conductors and stage directors. In Madrid, she has sung in Teatro de la Zarzuela (Una noche en la Zarzuela, directed by Luis Olmos and conducted by A. Dimecke and Cristóbal Soler), Teatros del Canal (Amadeu, directed by Albert Boadella and conducted by Miguel Roa), Auditorio Nacional, Palau de la Música de Valencia, Teatro Principal de Castellón, Valencia and Alicante, Auditorio de Alicante, Auditorio de Castellón, Teatro de Ronda …. In her hometown, Yolanda made her debut in Palau de les Arts under the baton of Alberto Zedda as Elvira in Rossini’s L’italiana in Algeri. Abroad, she has appeared in concerts and recitals in countries like Panamá (Teatro Nacional), Qatar, Denmark…
Yolanda Marín is often requested to collaborate as a special guest with Chamber Music Ensembles as Capella de Ministrers and Ensemble Fontegara, as well as with the Teatro Castelar Symphonic Orchestra, with whom she has made several recordings. Currently, she has a recital tour throughout Spain.
Her repertoire also includes the roles of Zerlina (Don Giovanni-Mozart), Pamina (Die Zauberflüte-Mozart), Sofia (Il Signor Bruschino- Rossini), Adina (L’Elisir D’Amore- Donizetti), Norina (Don Pasquale- Donizetti), Marie (La fille du Régiment- Donizetti), Annina (la Traviata- Verdi) etc.
